Networking Reimagined: Deeper Connections at MORROW
Most networking stays at the surface: a quick introduction, a business card and a promise to catch up. This morning is for building relationships that last. Eight senior leaders from fitness, banking, energy, technology and more sit around one table to share what leading has taught them, learn from each other, and help one another create greater impact in their organisations and beyond.
Bring one real challenge you are facing. Leave with seven senior perspectives on it, and a circle that helps you act.
Hosted personally by Jacyln Chan, who sits at the table as a participant.
Knowing where you stand is the first step towards where you want to go.
Learn and grow
Practical ideas from leaders in other industries that you can copy, adapt and try with your own team the very next day.
Connect properly
Two hours is long enough to understand how seven leaders think, what they care about and where you can help each other. Relationships that start with honesty have a real foundation.
Give back
Your experience could be the insight another leader needs. Peer sharing works both ways, and every guest leaves the table stronger for it.
Stay supported
Your circle stays in touch afterwards in a small group, opening doors and offering help where they can.
You are seeing this because someone recommended you
Seats are offered by invitation and recommendation. Someone who knows your work thought you would add a great deal to this table.
Each table brings together eight senior leaders from industries such as fitness, banking, energy and technology, each with real experience to draw on and comfortable talking about what did not go well. Most rooms full of senior people rarely get past the polished version of the story. This table is for going deeper.
Why your name came up
I am inviting you as one leader to another.
Most of my growth as a leader has come from learning from others, and from building deep connections where people are honest with each other. That honesty is what lets us learn humbly, and pivot when we need to.
What we learn at a table like this travels. It shapes how we lead, and how we lead reaches everyone who works with us and everyone they serve. Eight leaders, eight commitments, and a difference felt far beyond the room. That is the impact I am hoping for.
So I am trying something new. It feels a little uncomfortable, and I am putting it out there as an experiment.
I will go first. Right now I am learning to give feedback with candour while being clear about my intentions, so that it lands well. I am still working on it.
I lead MORROW, so some of what I share will be about our work, in the same way you will speak about yours. If it is useful to you, there are ways to continue, set out openly on the Beyond Circles 1.0 page.
I would love other courageous leaders to join me in this. I hope you will be one of them.
What the morning looks like
Two hours on your own leadership, with peers who have faced something similar.
We sit down at 10am and talk. Everyone at the table has learnt something from leading that is worth passing on, and shares it as it really happened: what you tried, what it cost, what you got wrong, and what you are still learning.
Much of the value comes from the differences around the table. Leaders in different industries often face the same challenge, such as building trust in a team, and handle it in completely different ways. Hearing how someone else solved it is hard to find in your own boardroom or at a sector conference.
We close by each naming one specific change we will make, out loud to the table.
What you leave with
One change for the people you lead, and time to look after yourself.
A commitment to greater impact
One specific change you will make, written in your own hand and shared with the table. For example, handing one decision a week to your deputy and coaching them through it. Two weeks later, your circle asks how it is going and offers help where they can.
Space to fill your own cup
A day pass valid for 30 days from the morning of your circle. Full facility access including our Renewal Zone (four hot and cold pools, sauna, steam, and Singapore's first snow room), sound therapy, yoga and our AI gym. You are welcome to dine at Folium, our members restaurant, at any point during that month. Leaders are quick to prioritise everyone else. Consider this your reminder, and your invitation, to prioritise yourself too.
